Naturepedic is a company that makes organic mattresses for children and adults. The company was founded in 2003 by Barry A. Cik, an environmental engineer with over 30 years of experience, and his sons after Barry struggled to find a safe crib mattress for his first grandchild. Cik's research found that many crib mattresses contained harmful chemicals and materials, and that organic mattresses designed for adults weren't suitable for children. He decided to create a safer alternative that he would feel comfortable recommending to family and friends.
